Brazilian student dies after Tasering

Student who died after being tasered was announced to be a Brazilian student studying in Sydney. Brazilian diplomats have demanded an explanation from the New South Wales police over the death of the student who was tasered over the weekend.

Roberto Laudisio, 21 years of age, was chased by a gang of six policemen who used the capsicum spray to capture him and then tasered him. The boy died on Sunday not being able to bear the electric shocks. Brazilian authorities in Sydney have demanded an explanation of the event immediately. The family of the deceased student has been informed and is flying to Sydney. They have refrained from commenting on the matter in media as of until they reach Sydney and look into the matter themselves.

Following the series of events, the government of the state of New South Wales has ordered the setting up of a special investigation team regarding the matter, to produce the report and bring the matter to the light at the earliest.  

As per initial investigations, the student might have stolen a packed of biscuit from the nearby store before the police started to follow him. It has also been discovered that he was unarmed.

Police has also refrained from commenting on the investigations until they were complete. However, a number of security cameras installed show that the student was chased by six policemen amongst which three tasered him separately.

  1. A familia desse rapaz todo o meu apoio e sinceros sentimentos.

    It is outrageous to see a life being taken like this, in such a coward way towards a student. Probably, he came here thinking it was a safe country where he would be respected.

    To the Brazilian authorities. It is not the first time that a brazilian life’s is treated with lack of respect in Australia. I suggest to the Brazilian Government to look closely the case, and ask for concrete evcomment_IDence about the alleged stolen item, like CCTV footage. Verify also how many times he was attacked. Ask for every single information that you can. Please, do not accept only circumsntancial evcomment_IDence. Take steps to protect other Brazilians not to go through this in the future.
