The court hears the first session of the Kapunda triple murder of a father, mother, and their daughter with inhuman stabbing attempts in Adelaide on Monday. The criminal pleaded guilty in front of the court and stated jealousy to be the motive behind the killings.
The 20 year old, Jason Alexander Downie, has been accused of killing the father, mother, and the daughter after giving them a total of 112 stabs in their house in a Southern country side home town in the last year. The prosecution explained before the court that the incident which occurred was the result of unresponded sexual infatuation of the murder with the daughter of the family, Chantelle Rowe, for quite a few months. The prosecution lead, Stephen Pallaras read before the court the forensic report of all three victims and said that Andrew Rowe was stabbed 29 times, Rose Rowe had more than 50 stabs, and the teenager Chantelle had about 16 stabs on the body.
Pallaras also explained how the murders were done and the motive behind the inhuman act. He also said that the criminal has given quite a few contradictory statements regarding his stance on the event. He went into the in depth happening of the events inside the house at that time, which forced a bunch of close relatives and friends leave the courtroom not being able to bear the words of the counselor. He told the court, “It is no exaggeration to say the hallway and floors throughout the house were covered in blood. It appears from the position of the bodies of Andrew and Rose Rowe and the positioning of their blood that, even after he had stabbed them and attempted to clean up their blood, he went back to them and stabbed them again.”
