25-year-old Lamara Bell currently rests in a medically induced coma at Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after spending three days in a crashed vehicle that was abandoned until then. Even though police was reported about the incident on Sunday, it failed to followed up for the next three days. Bell’s 28-year-old boyfriend, John Yuhil, is believed to have to have died immediately after the crash.

Reports claim that the couple’s car veered off from the road while they were returning home from a camping trip with friends. In an emotional post on Facebook, Ms Bell’s father, Andrew Bell, pleaded for his daughter to “wake up.” The post published yesterday said that “Lamara was in a field for 3 days after the accident. She was on her way home!” “Because of some nice guy that phoned it in and was ignored by the incident room the messages were never passed on. Now my daughter is laying on life support.” He added that “sorry as I write this I am crying my eyes out. Please make her wake up.”

Ms Bell has two children, including a 9-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, while Mr Yuill was the father of two young boys. The initial report about the missing couple was filed about Yuhil’s Renault Clio left the M9 near Stirling on Sunday morning. However, police and relatives issued an appeal for help in finding the pair on Monday and Tuesday.
