An environmental activist from Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province has been arrested.
According to opposition site Daneshjoo news, Mostafa Bani-Sharif was arrested on Tuesday after being summoned to the Intelligence Bureau of Shahrekord city, the province’s capital.
Bani-Sharif is said to have been a signatory to a letter written by 80 activists in the province calling on former president Mohammad Khatami to run in the country’s presidential election in June.
