Morgan Patrick Harrington wanted for shooting near Citadel High School, Halifax

Officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are seeking a youth in connection with a shooting yesterday afternoon in Halifax.

At 3:15 p.m., police responded to a report of shots being fired on Ahearn Avenue, outside Citadel High School. There were no reported injuries. The investigation led to a search of a residence on Divas Lane last night just after 10 p.m. Two women were taken into custody but later released without charges.

A male youth has been identified as a suspect in this case. Due to the serious nature of this incident and the risk to the public, investigators obtained temporary permission from the courts to release the youth’s information to assist in locating him.

Today, an arrest warrant has been issued for 16-year-old Morgan Patrick Harrington of Halifax. Officers are actively seeking the youth and the public’s assistance is being sought in locating him. Harrington is a black male, 5’7”, 140 lbs., slim build, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone encountering Harrington is advised not to approach him, but to contact police immediately.
