Two Hamilton men charged with Aggravated Assault

Hamilton Police have arrested two men after they were involved in a serious assault outside a local licensed establishment.

On Sunday March 20th, 2011, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Hamilton Police were called to a disturbance outside a local licensed establishment on James St. N. near Robert St. Hamilton Police located two males who had suffered several stab wounds. They were both taken to hospital for treatment. The victims, 34 yrs. and 46 yrs., both of Hamilton remain in hospital. Their injuries are considered serious but non-life threatening.

It is alleged that the two suspects and the two victims had been involved in an altercation outside the licensed establishment on James St. N. One suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed both victims while the second suspect used a beer bottle to assault the victims. Both suspects then fled north on James St. N.
Hamilton Police were provided a description of the suspects involved and located them a short distance away from the bar as they were attempting to get in a motor vehicle at the corner of Bay St. N. and Cannon St. One of the suspects suffered non-life threatening injuries during the altercation. He was taken to hospital for treatment. Both suspects were arrested and held for a Bail Hearing for March 21st, 2011.
