Three people face charges in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier yesterday morning in Halifax.

At 4:23 a.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred at a residence on Orange Walk. A 19-year-old man was transported to hospital with multiple non life-threatening stab wounds. Three people were arrested separately not long after the incident.

Thirty-six-year-old Asha Ali of Dartmouth faces charges of attempt murder, aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of assault with a weapon.

Nineteen-year-old Dhari Salman Shalaan of Halifax faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, administer noxious thing, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon. Both Ali and Shalaan are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.

A 17-year-old male youth of Dartmouth is scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Court today to face charges of attempt murder, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of assault with a weapon and four counts of breaching his recognizance.
