On Saturday, March 19, 2011, officers from 43 Division Major Crime Unit began a sexual assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
– a 52-year-old man met a 14-year-old boy online through the social networking website Tagged.com,
– the accused had sexual relations with the 14-year-old boy.
Matthew Ironstone, 52, of Cookstown, has been charged with:
1. Sexual Assault,
2. Sexual Interference,
3. Luring a Child With a Computer.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Monday, March 28, 2011.
Police believe there may be other victims.
