As previously released, on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service Members responded to a residence in the 700 block of Atlantic Avenue to investigate a domestic related incident.

Attending members made contact with a 31 year old male suspect who subsequently fled in a vehicle after ramming a police cruiser on multiple occasions. The suspect vehicle was located abandoned in the area of Mandalay Drive.

The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.

On March 24, 2011 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the 31 year old male suspect wanted by police turned himself in at the Public Safety Building.

Ashley Joseph SANDISON, 31 years has been charged with several domestic related offences including: Fail to Comply with Condition of a Recognizance, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Drive Disqualified, Assault Peace Officer x 2 and Assault with a Weapon x 2, as a result of his alleged involvement.

He was detained.
