15 year old arrested for the murder of Klayton Wynter at Bramalea City Centre

Officers from the Homicide Bureau have arrested a suspect in relation to a stabbing that took place in the parking lot of the Bramalea City Centre shopping mall.

On Saturday April 23, 2011, at approximately 5:09 p.m., police attended the Bramalea City Centre parking lot, in response to a complaint of a teenage youth having been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from life threatening injuries.

The victim, 15 year-old Toronto resident Klayton Wynter, was taken to a local hospital, where he tragically passed away.

Homicide investigators have arrested and charged a 15 year-old youth with Second Degree Murder, in relation to this homicide.

Due to the age of the youth, the name cannot be released, as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth will appear at a bail hearing today, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

This investigation is continuing and further arrests associated to this incident are anticipated.
