Major drug bust leads to 17 people charged in Regina

The Regina Integrated Drug Unit, comprised of members of the Regina Police Service and RCMP; in partnership with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods enforcement team,
Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety and Policing; has concluded an investigation targeting cocaine trafficking in the City of Regina. The investigation began on February 1, 2011, with arrests occurring over the past six weeks. The core group of five to seven investigators was assisted, at times, by a number of specialized units, as well as other police agencies, including the RCMP and Moose Jaw Police Service.

As a result of this investigation there have been seventeen individuals charged with a total of 48 charges. Of the charges, 34 are under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and 14 are under the Criminal Code of Canada. Two of the accused are still at large and are the subjects of warrants of arrest. All of the accused are of Regina. The accused, their charges and offence dates are as follows:
