Six students arrested for selling drugs inside Millwood High School in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia

Members of Halifax District RCMP have laid a number of drug-related charges following an investigation at Millwood High School in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.

Today at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Halifax District RCMP Lower Sackville detachment along with School Liaison Officers, Street Crime Enforcement Unit members and a Police Service Dog team attended Millwood High School to further a drug investigation. Six male students aged 16 to 17 were arrested and searched. RCMP seized a large quantity of marihuana packaged for resale, drug paraphernalia, and other items related to drug trafficking.

All six males have been charged with one or more of the following under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

Sec 4(1) possession of a controlled substance
Sec 5(1) traffick in a controlled substance
Sec 5(2) possession for the purpose of trafficking

One male has also been charged with resisting arrest. They will be arraigned in the Halifax Youth Court on June 16, 2011.
