Warrant issued for man wanted for Winnipeg hotel murder

As previously released, on May 21st, 2011 at approximately 11:35 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a downtown hotel located in the 200 block of Smith Street regarding a sudden death.

Members of the Winnipeg Police Service were notified by hotel staff indicating that an adult male with trauma injuries to this upper body, had been located deceased within a suite. The victim has been identified as: Leslie Alex OKEMOW, 29 years of Gods Lake Narrow, Manitoba.

Members of the Homicide Unit are continuing with the investigation.

A Canada-Wide Warrant has been issued for the arrest of 32 year old Arnold Philip HARPER.

HARPERis described as: Male, Aboriginal, 5’10” in height, 217 lbs., large build, black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding HARPER’s whereabouts is requested to contact police.
