On May 30, 2011, around 4:00 p.m., members of District 8 Acadian Peninsula RCMP responded to a fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle on the St-Pierre Ouest Boulevard, in Caraquet, N.B. The driver of the motorcycle, 51-year-old Carl Malley, from Maisonnette, N.B., died as a result of his injuries.

The collision occurred when the motorcycle hit a car that was coming out of a driveway and turning onto St-Pierre Ouest Boulevard.

A collision reconstructionist was called in to determine what happened. The investigation is ongoing.
