Houston police investigate murder/suicide

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of a man and a woman in an apparent murder/suicide at 112 Neyland about 1:50 p.m. on Saturday (May 28).

The deceased female, age unknown, suffered unknown injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The deceased male, identified as Rony Javier Galo, 29, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent suicide.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. M. De La Cruz and Senior Police Officer X. E. Avila reported:

North Patrol officers responded to a report of a possible suicide at the above location. When officers arrived, they found both victims deceased.

At this time, there are no known witnesses.

The investigation is pending causes of death of both victims, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
