Following a lengthy investigation, dubbed Project Eagle, officers arrested a suspect this week in connection with a December 2010 shooting incident in downtown Whitby.
Shamal HARRIS, age 24, of Toronto is charged with: Attempt Murder x2; Aggravated Assault x2; Use Firearm While Committing Offence; Unauthorized Possession in a Motor Vehicle; Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition; Discharging Firearm with Intent x2 and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to the Prohibition Order. The accused was remanded into custody.
Both male shooting victims have recovered from their injuries.
