North Division members are investigating a suspicious person that was allegedly seen on two occasions near the St. Francis of Assisi School yesterday.

On two separate occasions Thursday, June 9th, 2011, two elementary school children, a boy and a girl were approached by a man. The first incident occurred at 12:15 p.m. in the area of 70 Street and 129 Avenue. The girl alleges she was approached by a man who asked her for her name and where she lived. The suspect allegedly kept walking closer to her. She got scared and ran off, and reported the incident around 5:30 p.m. to her mother.

The second incident occurred only blocks away from the first at 12:23 p.m. in the area of 71 Street and 128 Avenue. In the incident an 11-year-old boy was approached by a man as he was walking home from school. The man was driving a beige mini van. The male suspect tried to engage the boy in conversation. The boy fled and told his parents when he got home.
