Fake (HVAC) servicemen pull off a home invasion robbery in Vaughan

The York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending two suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in the City of Vaughan.

On Saturday, June 11, 2011, at approximately 8:45 p.m., two male suspects approached the victim in the driveway of his residence on San Vito Drive. To gain entry into the home, the suspects posed as Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) servicemen who were there to fix his furnace.

While inside the home, one of the suspects brandished a knife and demanded jewelry. Both suspects fled from the home with a quantity of jewelry, electronics and cash.

The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.

Both suspects are described as two white men in their early 20’s, dark hair and wearing darkcoloured clothing.
