Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1521 Sherwood Forest about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 14).
The victim, Gerardo Lugo, 20, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by private vehicle to Memorial Hermann-Memorial City Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers L. K. Lovelace and R. A. Moreno reported:
Mr. Lugo went to an apartment complex at the above location to visit an acquaintance. At some point, several unknown suspects approached Lugo and shot him several times. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
