Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant found unresponsive at 710 West FM 1960 about 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday (June 15).

The victim, a 3-month-old boy, was pronounced dead at Northwest Houston Medical Center. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer B. Oxspring reported:

The infant was found non-responsive by his mother after being put down for a nap. He was rushed to a nearby fire station where emergency medical personnel performed CPR and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Upon initial examination, the baby had no apparent injuries. His cause of death will be determined in the autopsy.
