High-Risk Sexual Offender Patrick Vincent Rodman Living in Horsefly, B.C

This Public Interest Notification is made under the Privacy Act of Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has issued this notification in the interest of public safety.

Mr. Patrick Vincent RODMAN will be released from his Long Term Supervision Order on June 20, 2011 and will be living in the Village of Horsefly, British Columbia.

Mr. RODMAN is a Caucasian male, 44 years of age, 162 cm (5 ft. 4 in.) tall and weighs 72 kg (160 lbs). He has blonde hair and brown eyes. He has a skull tattoo on his left forearm and a rose tattoo on his right forearm.

Mr. RODMAN has a criminal record involving violent sexual offences against both teenage and adult females. Mr. RODMAN’s method of operation is to befriend a female prior to the offence occurring and then lure her to a secluded area under a false pretense where the victim is sexually assaulted. Mr. RODMAN has used a knife and violently assaulted his victims causing serious bodily harm during the commission of some of his sexual assaults.

Mr. RODMAN will be living in the community of Horsefly, British Columbia, 50 km east of Williams Lake.
Mr. RODMAN is currently bound by a Section 810.2 Criminal Code Recognizance and is being supervised by the Williams Lake Probation Office and Williams Lake RCMP Detachment. Mr. RODMAN must obey Court-ordered conditions of his release, including the following:

• Keep the peace and be of good behavior
• No contact direct or indirect with anyone under the age of 16 years, unless involved in a commercial
• transaction in the community.
Not to attend a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 16 years are present
• or can reasonably be expected to be present, or a daycare center, school ground or playground.
• Not to consume or possess alcohol or any controlled substances as listed in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act excluding prescription medication prescribed by a licensed physician or dentist and can only consume prescribed medication in the dosage prescribed by the doctor or dentist.
• Not to possess any knives except for the immediate preparation and consumption of food.
• Not to possess, own or carry any weapon, including but not limited to any firearm, crossbow, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, ammunition, prohibited ammunition or explosive substance and any related authorizations, licenses and registration certificates. Not to possess any imitation firearm or imitation of those other items.
• No contact, direct or indirect with any of the victims of offences for which he was convicted or any known members of their immediate families. Shall not be within 300 metres of any known residence, place of employment or educational facility of any of the victims of offences for which he was convicted or any known members of their immediately families.
• Not to use chat lines, dating services, Internet dating sites, introduction services or any other similar services.
• Attend and participate in assessments to determine risks to re-offend, counseling and programming as directed by a Bail Supervisor / Probation Officer.

If you see Mr. RODMAN violating any of the conditions listed above, do not approach or confront him.
