Man arrested for two home invasions and assaults, Moncton, N.B

On June 23, 2011, at approximately 11 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on High Street in Moncton.

A 36-year-old man was assaulted by a weapon in his home. He did not require medical treatment.

A short time later, at around 1 a.m. on June 24, Codiac RCMP responded to a complaint of gun shots at a home on Spruce Street. A 17-year-old teenager was shot and a 19-year-old man was assaulted. Both were transported to hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 28-year-old Moncton man was arrested. He was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. to face charges related to both incidents.
