Officers from 11 Division’s Criminal Investigation Bureau are asking for the public’s assistance regarding a break and enter at the Bank of Montreal branch located at 2825 Eglinton Avenue West.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., on Wednesday, June 30, 2011, an unknown male entered the branch and successfully made away with over $400,000.00 from a bank machine.

Police are asking for information from anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual at the branch, the evening of June 29th, or over the last month.

The suspect is described as male, 5’5” to 5’8” tall, wearing dark clothing, including a dark hooded jacket, with 2 distinct white stripes at the bottom, and gloves. The hat the suspect was wearing is a fishing style hat and also has a distinct white stripe.

Investigators suspect that the suspect may have attended the branch over the past month, while planning the theft, and are asking patrons to try to remember any particulars of him.
