On Friday, July 1, 2011, at 9:45 a.m., the East York Community will be hosting a Canada Day Parade.

First formation area: East York Town Centre at 8:45 a.m.
Second formation area: Memorial Park Avenue

– eastbound on Cosburn Avenue,
– southbound on Coxwell Avenue,
– eastbound on Sammon Avenue,
– northbound on Woodbine Avenue.

Dispersal area: Trenton Avenue.

This event will take place regardless of weather conditions. Members of the public should anticipate significant traffic delays.

The Toronto Police Service would like to remind members of the public that recent changes to Ontario’s liquor laws do not make it legal for alcoholic beverages to be consumed in public places or unlicensed establishments.
