On Saturday, July 2, 2011, the Pride and Remembrance Run will take place at 10 a.m. The event will consist of a 5km road race or walk. Proceeds from the event will be in support of Casey House and Black Cap.

Road Closures: 8:30 a.m. to midnight

Race/Walk Route: beginning at 10 a.m.

Formation and Start line area: Wellesley Street East

Route:

East Of Church Street to Jarvis Street, Full Roadway,
Westbound Wellesley Street West, Full Roadway,
Northbound on Queen’s Park Crescent East, Full Roadway,
U-turn at Charles Street,
Southbound on Queen’s Park Crescent West, Full Roadway,
U-turn at College Street,
Two laps around Queen’s Park,
Eastbound on Wellesley Street West, Full Roadway.

Dispersal (Finish Line) Area: Wellesley Street east of Church Street to Jarvis Street, Full Roadway

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the road closures.

The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
