On Saturday, July 2, 2011, at approximately 10:30 p.m. York Regional Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a shooting in the area of Grandvista Crescent and Via Campanile, in the City of Vaughan. Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The individual’s identity is not being released at this time until notification of next of kin is completed.
York Regional Police Homicide Unit is investigating and presently do not have anyone in custody for this murder
