Innocent man stabbed in Moncton park

The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating a stabbing that occurred on July 3, 2011, at approximately 2:10 a.m., in Victoria Park, in Moncton, N.B.

A 37-year-old Moncton man was sitting in the park when he was approached by two men. A brief conversation ensued, then the man was stabbed by the two men who had approached him. The suspects fled through the archway at the Edith Cavell School.

They are described as being in their early twenties, of slim to medium build, and they spoke English. One was wearing a white t-shirt and the other, a black hoodie.

The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
