On Wednesday, June 29, 2011, police arrested a 12-year-old boy, who lives in the Lansdowne Avenue/Queen Street West area, in connection with a firearm investigation.

It is alleged that:

– the accused stored a loaded P-11 Luger 9mm handgun in his bedroom.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
2) Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition,
3) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
4) Possess Firearm serial number altered,
5) Fail to Comply Undertaking given to O.I.C.,
6) Careless storage of a firearm.

The name of the accused cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
