District 2 RCMP are investigating a fatal all terrain vehicle collision that occurred on the Old Harvey Road, in McAdam, N.B, on July 8, 2011, at approximately 11:50 p.m.
A 52-year-old man died as a result of injuries he sustained when he fell off the back of an ATV that he was a passenger on. He has been identified as Michael Gaines of McAdam.
The RCMP has one person in custody in connection with the incident, who is scheduled to appear in court on July 11, 2011, to face Criminal Code charges.
It’s believed alcohol was a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
