On Monday, July 11, 2011, at approximately 1:15 a.m., police were called to the Canadian Fine Arts store, 577 Mount Pleasant Road, for a break-and-enter.

It is alleged that:

– on Sunday, July 10, 2011, during the night, the store was broken into,

– the suspect(s) stole 11 original Canadian paintings by artists including those of the Group of Seven.

The total value of the stolen paintings is over $387,800.
