Two arrested for Mississauga daytime shooting

Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have made arrests in connection to a daytime shooting that occurred on Hurontario Street, near the Queensway.

On Saturday, June 25, 2011, at approximately 3:14 p.m., the victim became involved in a verbal altercation with another driver and was shot several times. He suffered life threatening injuries and was taken by friends to a nearby hospital. The victim was later transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre, where he underwent surgery for his wounds. He is expected to make a full recovery.

As a result of the police investigation, the following individuals have been arrested in connection to this matter:

Nikolai GREY, a 19 year-old resident of Mississauga, has been charged with Attempted Murder and numerous firearm related offences. He was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday, July 14, 2011.

Mahmoud AL-RAMAHI, a 20 year-old resident of Mississauga has been charged with Attempted Murder. He was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday, July 14, 2011.
