The Codiac Regional RCMP have charged two men in connection with an incident involving a teenage girl that occurred on July 4, 2011.

The girl was reportedly approached by three men in the parking lot of the Champlain Place mall, in Dieppe, N.B. The men allegedly convinced the girl to accompany them to a nearby vehicle and forced her to perform sexual acts.

25-year-old Ali Richardson, of Halifax, N.S., was arrested on July 14 in Halifax on an outstanding warrant. He has been charged with sexual interference. He is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court this afternoon for a bail hearing.

20-year-old Ahmed Abdulaziz Alsaif, of Saint John, N.B., was arrested on July 12 in Saint John. He has been charged with being party to a criminal offence. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on July 13 and was released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court next on August 3, 2011 to enter a plea.

The investigation is ongoing.
