On July 16, a 35-year-old Nova Scotia man was injured on Wesley Street in Moncton. He was transported to hospital, where he was treated and later released.

24-year-old Shawn Joseph Reid was charged today in Moncton Provincial Court with attempted murder in connection with the incident, and a Canada wide warrant was issued for his arrest.

Subsequently, on the afternoon of July 18, Codiac Regional RCMP, assisted by the Tatamagouche RCMP in Nova Scotia, arrested Reid. He will be returned to Moncton to face charges.
