Killer gets life for the murder of Whitney Vander Wouden

Today a 19 year old male was sentenced for the murder of Whitney Vander Wouden. The male who was youth at the time of the murder was sentenced to life imprisonment as an adult and will not be eligible for parole until after seven (7) years is served. He will go back to a youth facility until he is 21 years of age and then will be transferred to an adult facility to serve the remainder of his time. There is a 30 day period in which the accused can appeal his adult sentence. During this appeal period, the identity of the accused cannot be published by direction of a court order. It is not known if the accused will appeal the adult sentence.
