Peel Police Rescue Kidnapping Victim from Vehicle

On Monday, July 25, 2011 at approximately 3:50 a.m., 21 Division uniform patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Bramalea Road.

Investigation into the traffic stop determined the occupants of the vehicle were involved in a kidnapping incident earlier on in the morning.

The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and when the vehicle was searched, the victim was discovered in the trunk of the car.

It’s alleged the kidnapping was the result of an unpaid drug debt.

The victim, a 17 year-old male from Brampton, suffered minor injuries.

The following suspects have been charged in relation to this incident;

Peter CONNOLLY, a 26 year-old male from Brampton, has been charged with Kidnapping, Extortion, Assault with a Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 25, 2011.

Neshaul LATCHMAN, a 28 year-old male from Brampton, has been charged with Kidnapping, Extortion, Assault with a Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 25, 2011.

David CONNOLLY, a 19 year-old male from Brampton, has been charged with Kidnapping, Extortion, Assault with a Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 25, 2011.

Theodore VAN BOORT, a 19 year-old male from Brampton, has been charged with Kidnapping, Extortion, Assault with a Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 25, 2011.

Phabian CAMPBELL, a 19 year-old male from Toronto, has been charged with Kidnapping, Extortion, Assault with a Weapon, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Two counts of Assault With Intent to Resist Arrest. He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 25, 2011.
