Edmonton Police Service Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man whose burned remains were discovered at an abandoned farm property on Wednesday, July 27th.

After receiving a call from a citizen, west division patrol officers responded to the area of 156 Street and St. Albert Trail.

Upon arrival they discovered human remains in a burned-out 2010 Chevrolet Impala.

An autopsy has been conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office and while the victim hasn’t been positively identified, police have a preliminary identification. The cause of death is not being released at this stage of the investigation.
