RCMP can confirm that 57 year old Reginald "Reg" James Godard, from Langley, was killed in a motorcycle collision on Saturday August 6th.

He collided with his wife, who was also riding a motorcycle, on Highway 99, northbound at Porteau Cove at about 12:30 p.m. They had recently joined a motorcycling riding club and were on their first ride. He attempted to pass another vehicle to join up with his wife who was riding ahead of him. At the same time, she was slowing and the pair collided. His wife of 35 years, received minor injuries and is recovering.
