Winnipeg man charged with sexual exploitation of a teenager

On Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 members of the Winnipeg Police Service Sex Crimes Unit entered into an investigation regarding a teenage victim who had allegedly been the victim of sexual assault by a 39 year old male.

The investigation has revealed that between May 2009 and May 2011, a number of sexual offences were committed against the victim by this male. The victim and the male are known to each other through organized activities.

During the afternoon hours of Thursday, August 11th, 2011 a search warrant was executed at a residence in the area of Niakwa Road and St. Anne’s Road where a suspect male was arrested without incident.

Stuart Garrett YOUNG, 39 years, of Winnipeg has been charged with Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Assault.

The Sex Crimes Unit is continuing with this investigation.
