Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly woman who wandered away from the Misericordia Hospital in west Edmonton last night.

Martha (Mardy) Decore was awaiting placement in an extended care facility.

She wandered away from the facility at 7:45 p.m. last night, and was reported missing to police shortly before midnight. Police have been unable to determine her whereabouts and have made numerous inquiries.

Decore is described as a Caucasian female, 4’6” tall, 100 pounds, with hazel eyes. Her hair has more gray in it than the supplied photo shows. She was last seen wearing a yellow hospital gown and pants, and wearing a hospital identification bracelet. She was also carrying a red purse.
