In June 2011, investigators received information that the accused lured a 14-year-old female victim from York Region into sending explicit photographs of herself. The accused threatened to distribute the sent images when the victim refused to comply with the accused’s demands to send additional photographs.
On Thursday, August 18, 2011, the Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with the assistance of #5 District Uniform Officers, the Ontario Provincial Police Child Exploitation Unit and members of the Provincial Strategy, executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence and arrested the accused without incident. Evidence related to the offence was also seized.

Mr. JANSEN was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket sometime today for a bail hearing
hmm, this was unexpected but I think that the situation got out of hand for him, from what i know about time from when I was in high school with him, he just doesn’t seem like the type of guy to do it
I went to school with this person for about 4 years before any of this happened. I had kept in contact with him though and was in touch when this happened. It was a shock, but I saw the signs but never really thought it was this serious. It is sad what happened. He seemed to have a rough childhood and was insecure with himself. I hope things get better for him, and for the girl and anyone else who may have been effected.
