The Edmonton Police Service has charged Lance Matthew Shane Regan, 24 with first degree murder in connection with the Aug. 16, 2011 death at the Edmonton Institution.
Background:
Police were called out to a suspicious death of a 21-year old male inmate at the Edmonton Institution just before 8 p.m. on Aug.16, 2011.
The victim was identified as 21-year old Mason Tex Montgrand.
Edmonton’s Medical Examiner deemed Montgrand’s death a homicide with the cause of death being multiple stab wounds.
