On Tuesday, August 30th at approximately 08:40 am, a fatal L.R.T. collision occurred on 36 St. N.E. at the intersection of 39 Avenue NE. An L.R.T train was heading North on the tracks. A 36 year old male pedestrian stepped out in front of the train and was struck. The male died at the scene.
Speed and alcohol consumption are not considered factors in this collision. The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is investigating and is asking for anyone that may have witnessed the incident to contact them
