Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 906 Greens Road about 7:10 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 22).
The victim, Colby Ivan McCardle, 21, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. T. Ruland and Senior Police Officer B. W. Nabors reported:
Mr. McCardle was in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address talking with friends. The group was approached by an unknown black male suspect and words were exchanged. At some point, the suspect pulled a gun from his waistband and began firing. McCardle was struck in the arm and chest. He was then transported by his friends to the hospital.
