Halifax Regional Police is investigating a sexual assault that took place late Sunday night in Halifax.
At 11:20 p.m. on October 9, two women were in the area of Sackville Landing on the Halifax Waterfront when two men approached them and tried to engage them in conversation. The women began heading north along the waterfront and noticed the men had followed them. As the women were turning onto Lower Water Street from George Street, one of the men grabbed one of the women by the buttocks and slapped her twice. The men fled on foot, heading west on George Street. The man who sexually assaulted the woman is described as Asian, between 18 and 22-years-old, wearing a white logo t-shirt and khaki shorts. The man who was with him is described as Asian, wearing a brown shirt and khaki shorts.
