Surrey resident died after an altercation at bus stop

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken conduct of an investigation that occurred in Surrey on October 8, 2011.

Surrey RCMP were called to an altercation on a bus at midnight on October 8th in the area of 72nd Ave and 128 St. Surrey.

BC Ambulance Service also attended the scene as a male on the bus sustained serious injuries during the altercation. The injuries appear to be consistent with a stab wound, however, the cause of death will be determined through an autopsy.

A taller black male along with a female were witnessed leaving the scene. Police are asking anyone with any information about these individuals to contact investigators.

The victim was transported to the hospital but has since succumb to his injuries. The next of kin have been notified and the victim has been identified as 18 year old Surrey resident, Jamie KEHOE.
