Giovanni (John) Palumbo, a man who confesses stalking megastar Shania Twain is not going anywhere – court denied him bail.

Court in Toronto decided Wednesday that Giovanni (John) Palumbo will stay in police custody until the final verdict comes.

In September, superstar Twain informed the court via video link that the man’s appearances outside her home caused her worry. Before that incident, she placed a restraining order against Palumbo for mailing her countless letters and emerging outsider Muskoka cottage.

Palumbo put forward surprise guilty pleas on the second day of his trial, on Sept 30.  He was indicted for criminal harassment and violating a court order.

Twain swore she had received letters from Palumbo in 2009 in which he declared his intimate feelings for her. She said that she repeatedly received such mails from small children, but not fully grownup men, and was upset upon receipt of the letters.

51-year-ol Palumbo was taken into custody on March 27 after he was arrested at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. He entered guilty pleas to charges of harassment and breach while two more charges were dropped.
