Police investigate early morning shooting, Moncton, N.B

In the early morning hours of October 22, 2011, Codiac Regional RCMP members received a complaint of a shooting that took place in a parking lot at the corner of Mountain Road and Church Street in Moncton. The victim, a 27-year-old Moncton man sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body. He remains in hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Codiac RCMP are looking for at least three suspects believed to have been involved. Investigators believe that the victim and the suspects may have been known to each other, and may have had contact with each other earlier in the night in downtown Moncton. The suspects are described as two black men in their mid-twenties and one Caucasian man. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
