Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 500 block ofEdgewood Street, NE.
On Monday, November 14, 2011 at approximately 2:20 am, units from the Fifth District responded to the 500 block of Edgewood Street, NE to investigate the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 21 year-old Silvestre Antonio Perez-Agustine of Northwest, Washington, DC.
