A Windsor man who operates a convenience store is in police custody facing sexual assault charges involving two teenage girls after three allegations were made against him in the past seven months.

On Saturday, November 12, 2011 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a 12 year old girl and her 14 year old girlfriend attended the “In and Out” Convenience store at 1598 Tecumseh Rd E. to purchase a drink.  The 12 year old girl went to the rear of the store where the coolers were located to retrieve a drink and the clerk followed her.  As the teen reached into the cooler, the clerk allegedly grabbed the girl’s buttocks.  The two girls then immediately left the store, went to the 14 year old’s home and informed her parents.  The victim’s parents were then notified and Windsor Police were summoned.  WPS uniformed officers attended the store and arrested the 53 year old clerk without incident.  As a result of this allegation, the clerk has been charged with sexual assault.

In early March of 2011, a 16 year old girl attended the “In and Out” Convenience store to make a purchase. While inside the store, she was approached by the same 53 year old clerk who grabbed her buttocks as she stood next to him.  After this incident, the victim informed her mother of what had transpired.  The mother immediately went to the store and confronted the clerk advising him not to accost her daughter again.  The Windsor Police Service was not called after this incident.

On April 23, 2011, the same 16 year old girl was walking on Tecumseh Rd. at Lincoln Rd. when she observed the clerk standing outside the store.  The two began a conversation and the girl entered the store with the clerk following her.  Once inside the store, the clerk reached over and fondled the girl’s breast.  Another customer entered the store and the girl immediately left the premises.  The victim notified Windsor Police the next day and on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., uniformed WPS Officers attended the store and arrested the accused without incident. The accused is facing two counts of sexual assault as a result of these allegations.

Ibrahim Tageddine – 53 years of Windsor is now charged with three counts of Sexual Assault.  He was released by the courts today after a hearing with a condition not to be in the Convenience Store without being accompanied by someone over the age of 18 years.
