Toronto police took into custody a 15-year-old girl associated with the group beating of a woman that was taped and posted on the web. The arrested girl cannot be identified under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police claims to know the identities of the other two young girls who were involved in the beating. The unsettling online video shows the cruel public beating of a woman by a number of female attackers in Toronto.

The victimized woman is shown in the video having a verbal argument with a number of other girls on Yonge Street, south of Dundas Street, while a man behind the camera says: “Hit that crackhead, hit her.”

On Tuesday, Toronto Police made clear that the victim was not pregnant; however, the nearly three-minute-long video is entitled: “Preggo Dope Fiend Gets Jumped by Hood Chicks in Toronto for Talkin Mess!”

“She’s not pregnant,” Const. Tony Vella of the Toronto police said Tuesday. He said officers have spoken with the victim, who suffered “serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”

Moreover, the victim’s identity has also been kept from the media. She is defined as a 35-year-old.

The 15-year-old accused is likely to appear in court on Wednesday.
